Small detour for 35/77

Let us give those people in Granbury, Texas, Moore and Shawnee (and other areas), Oklahoma a moment of silence as we remember the brave men, women and children that were taken from this world far too soon, but for some reason or another their time was up.................For those traveling along the US 77/I-35 corridor heading to Guthrie, Ponca City, Oklahoma or further north into Kansas, Nebraska or those adventurous enough to hit the Canadian border who may not have access to certain areas, particularly between Pauls Valley and Norman. The only good news from the tornadoes is that it provides the traveler with an opportunity to find "a road less traveled." A few roads of interest include the following: Take I-35 into Oklahoma then take the scenic US 70, either east towards Ardmore or west to Waurika. If you go west, travel up 89 where it will guide you through the luscious green grass of southern Oklahoma. After meeting with state highway 76 take a stop in Lindsay where only on the two-lane road will see find something like this. Take 76 west to US 81, which will lead you into Chickasha and into western Oklahoma City. Regardless of where you are going beware of the weather.
