On occassion, I will write poetry about roads. Here is one:
Road to Freedom
There was a road
Where a story was told
About a young man
Who was looking for a plan
Then he came across this road
That lost a load
However, there were people like him
Who traveled on a whim
They drove across a path
That was designed by the Grapes of Wrath
Where freedom could be found
And men can drive year round
One can see the hills
Or they can drive on still
To find the land
That was promised to man
After one drives and sees the plains
Where the Lord Reigns
Each man will find his path
So they get away from man's wrath
Journey down the road
That was traveled by Tom Joad
Search and search until it comes
Where you have reached your freedom.
