The world wide highway

It was only a few years ago when I began posting pictures from road trips onto Facebook. Months later, I began a group known as Our Highway, which was created for people across the United States (although those from other countries were welcomed to post interesting highway images and tidbits from their country) to share their experiences along the highway, preferably of the two-lane variety.
(Roy, NM, along NM 39 where a few whispers give way to deafening sounds of time)

It began with a few residents, but over the past few years, thanks to the help of Jeroen and Maggie Boersma and other road-a-holics, the group has proliferated from dozens to nearly 300. From churches in the Sunflower State to portions of the Old Spanish Trail in Eagle Lake, TX, a plethora of people, including road scholars Jim Hinckley, Greg Roberts, Nick Gerlich, Glenn Smith, Allen Greer, the list can go on, have helped contribute to the success of the page. This is just proof of what a mix of roadies and evolving technology can do. I want to thank them and you, the casual traveler, curious journey seeker and obsessed historian looking for clues as to how it all began. Without you, my passion for our two-lane highways would continue to wander like a lost winter breeze.
