An interesting journey
Today I came back from a quasi road trip and project assignment for class. The aim was to observe or hang out at a ranch and see how it has been impacted by the drought. Although, I can't state exactly where the ranch was. Regardless, one of the most important things about writing is that it takes more than one visit to paint a picture of a topic. To quote an action hero, "I'll be back." Nonetheless, I saw some interesting, amazing, and goose bump worthy sites. Here are just a few of my findings. In future blogs I will be more explicit as to what they mean or its historic significance.
Along I-20 in Clyde, TX
Snyder, TX on my way to begin the assignment.
Gail, TX along US 180
Driving ON the Colorado River in Borden County
Just west of Albany, TX
After enjoying steak fingers with my friend, author Norman Wayne Brown, at Ziska's on the Brazos it was time to keep on truckin.
Albany, TX
I did not take many pictures after Albany as I wanted to get home and do homework. Besides, a terrible flood in Mineral Wells, and the ongoing threat of heavy rain put a damper on my enthusiasm. Nonetheless, it was a fun two and a half days. Now, it is time to work on my homework.

I use to run highway 180 all the time. Never had the chance to slow down and take everything in. Thanks love the pics.
